About LinkBacksI didn't play the first one at all, but watched the video recap and read the synopsis. But I've heard it's just not the same feeling you get as compared to if you had played through the first one, so I would recommend (for maximum enjoyment) to play through the first one.
If you don't care, than just play the second, it's still a helluva lot of fun!

Finished the DLC... it was short. I'd give it a 7/10. The ending was interesting and revealed the idea behind the title's name.
Also a patch was released also, so the issues in multiplayer should be fixed.

They're having a double XP weekend with Dead Space 2's multiplayer... there's only 4 people on my xbl friend's list who play it though...

Awesome, I know no one plays this game anymore, but it's so rare to get free dlc. I need to finish hardcore mode.
