    Heatseeker's Recently Watched Movies

I swear, this thread will be awesome if people would just post in it...one of the most popular threads at another forum I post in. Just say a movie you've seen recently and what you think of it.

Atonement--Damn good. Not your typical love story

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford--Kind of long but pretty interesting. two hour exposition hurts it though...7/10

No Country for Old Men--for the 2nd time. maybe my favorite movie ever.

    Iron Man--Surprisingly good.

La Cité des enfants perdus - or in what it was called where I ordered it off Fearnet, The City of Lost Children. I ordered it because it had Ron Perlman, but I hadn't really realized that it was going to be such a different movie. It was billed to me as horror, but I could only see this scaring someone who was very young, as it has quite a bit of violence (nothing graphic by my standards, but there's some blood and you definitely know people are not getting killed in the nicest of ways), creepy characters and sinister imagery.

Basic story...a scientist trying to become young or gain the ability to dream is kidnapping children and taking THEIR dreams. One (Ron Perlman) has his "Little Brother" (small orphan child) abducted, and we're following his efforts to save him. It's SLIGHTLY reminiscent of Pan's Labyrinth, in that it almost seems like a fairy tale, but it's definitely not for kids, as I said.

Probably not 'for' everyone, as a lot of people for some reason really can't stand subtitles, but I enjoyed it and recommend it.

    Troy - no thank you.

First A Nightmare on Elm Street - Classic..young Depp with poofy hair acting..normal? Not scaring not anything but cheesey and classic. Nancy's boyfriend is Depp so see it Nancy. She also watches Evil Dead on the tv.

Revolver like last week. I found it entertaining but some people ..SOME think..well yeah.

I go in spurts..lately haven't been watching a whole lot but might start doing so again real soon..

Oh an Indiana Jones duh... Just last night. Good..better than Temple not QUITE equal to Raiders and worse than Crusade.

Iron Man - Was really good, mainly because of the action and Robert Downey Jr.

300 - Watched it again because it was on TV.

Knocked Up - Was actually pretty funny, I didn't have high expectations going into it.

Manchurian candidate (original)- it was surprisingly good. I had never seen the new one so I didn't know the plot. I also had a bias against black and white movies for being to conservative. All that has changed now. I LOVED the plot, its definatly one of the best movies I have seen.
You realize the odds of that happening is like the same as getting mauled by a polar bear, and a regular bear on the same day.

Hustler..good..good, script a lil wonky but 1961..something great about seeing a movie in B&W

Children of the Corn..colossal enormous waste of time. Do not see for any circumstances..even if someone PAYS you to take it from them..there's a reason for it.

Collateral Damage..also a horrible movie but better than CotC.
