Yeah, as to why GeoW2 "should" be made, and that still doesn't make it official.

GeoW2, makes it sound like Geometry Wars 2, or something... =/
GoW = God of War
GeoW = Gears of War
It only becomes Geometry Wars when you start thinking about it.
Well, you never know for sure. Maybe it is all true and someone leaked the info from within Epic Studios so Epic is trying to cover it up. On the other hand, GoW was a huge hit, so it would make sense for the company to talk about it first. I dont know. I'm looking forward to MGS4...

GDC08: Epic Announces Gears of War 2 for a Nov 08' Release
Just moments ago, towards the end of their GDC08 press conference, Epic Games and Microsoft officially announced that Gears of War 2, the sequel every 360 fanboy has been waiting for, will release November 2008!
In an instant, this massive GDC announcement put to rest a year full of speculation and rumors that has kept the Gears community on the edge of their seats. A year long Gears of War 2 rumor mill encompassing events including Cliffy B hinting at a Gears sequel, seeing Amazon.com pre-orders come and go, reporting on Cliffy's brother knowing something, hearing about a GamePro cover, reading about SurferGirl chiming in and we even sunk as low as to analyze GDC floor plans. All these rumors were reported because we were in search of an elusive GoW2 announcement and now, we have it. We finally have confirmation that GoW2 is real and we can put to rest a year full of rumors. It was fun while it lasted, but we're way more satisfied and relieved knowing that the veil has been lifted. More Gears of War 2 details to come.
Man...I thought you guys were really stupid until I saw the dates on the posts. Anyway...yep, I plan to be reserving this very soon. I look forward to a Gears with no crab-walking and shooting through walls in multiplayer. The little bastards will find more glitches, I'm sure. Work on that damn collision detection and wall-sticking too. Oh yeah, and what about fucking dedicated servers or something? I'm so tired of people complaining about host, but I'm also tired of that host blasting me with those host-reflexes. Nobody should have an advantage, no matter how small. I don't know how this shit works or how they could do it, but damn it, they should figure it out, it's their job.
Um...but anyway...yes, this game, I buy. I hope...it good.

New GI out with title cover on Gears 2. Looks amazing, to say the least. New vehicles, maps, enemy's, weapons (including poison grenades), and some awesome looking characters. Plus, theres an actual storyline!
