Oh, that? I didn't know you were referring to XBC2.

There's kind of a "Gacha" system in place, but with regards to "Rare" Blades like that once you have one you have it and it's removed from the pool, but it's only for certain ones and others are locked as plot ones and specific rewards, so the odds of getting that particular one isn't even all that horrible.

I put in nearly 30 hours today and yesterday. I'm still only on Chapter 3, and I think there are 10 Chapters plus whatever else to grind out and do after I finish the story.

Xenoblade 2 is my favorite game of this entire year.

I bought several D&D board game things, mostly because for a good price each one comes with around 40 minis that I can use for regular D&D.

The games do look interesting though and I may try them out at some point.

Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, PS4.

    Maybe I'll finally finish it.

I like FFXII, I think it’s the best FF with double digits. It tried something different while not being awful. X was awful, XIII is an embarrassment, and XV is a very interesting demo for a western RPG inspired by Final Fantasy.

XI and XIV are not Final Fantasy titles.

I like 12 as well (although I enjoy most FF titles), but I'm likely never going to get Zodiac Age. If it had the option to select Job Class boards or normal "learn everything" boards so I could just get rid of my PS2 copy I'd be all over it, though.

I had almost beaten FF12 on PS2 when I let someone borrow it, and my strategy guide. A few days later he fucking disappeared. I never got around to getting another copy.

There are 12 licence boards and each of your 6 party members can learn two.

Vaan is a ninja/foebreaker. Foebreaker is the hammers and axes, and bombs for some reason.

    Balthier is a machinist/time mage.

    Fran is an archer/dragoon.

    Basch is a knight/monk.

    Ashe is a white mage/samurai.

    Penelo is black mage/red mage.

    What an odd distribution.

Are these assigned by default or is this your own set up?

Own set up. You can choose whatever jobs you want for everyone.

For aerial enemies, Balthier and Fran, or depending on weaknesses, Penelo.

Basch is my tank and currently has a weapon with instant kill on it and it's so satisfying when he can kill a enemy with 60k+ hp in one hit.

Ashe is basically a paladin. Damage dealer with heals, who can currently heal more with one spell than my characters have hp.

Interesting. It’s been several years since I played XII, I don’t have the time or money for this right now, but I’ll have to check it out soon.

It's on sale right now for $30 on PSN, two weeks after I bought it for $40 at Wal-Mart.
