So I backed into a hydro pole today

So that's my excitement for the day. Could have been way worse, all thing considered, just a dent in the bumper... was right in my damn blind spot. Feel like a bit of an idiot, but shit happens. How's everybody else's day/week/year going so far?

Jesus, I just went full Canadian. Telephone pole? Power pole? Electricity pole? One of those should make more sense

Okay, more sense made. That sucks. My mind went to it being a water pipe that feeds into a building or something.

it was nighttime...around 1 am almost, i was in a hurry and i was turning on this lot and a pole was in my immediate blind spot...

ya, accidents happen an its shit...but know that there's always someone in the world who's got it way worse......like russia

We came back from vacation last Sunday and the pipes had burst while we were gone.

We’re staying with friends and looking for a new place to live. It may be past time to buy.

So our week is pretty awful too.

Damn, sorry to hear that Sly. I hope you had a good time while you were on vacation at least. Hopefully 2018 only gets better from here... or at least that's what I keep hoping for.

My guess was a fire hydrant which would be easier to miss. At least a dent is easily fixed. Could have been easily worse.

These things happen, and we have good insurance so we’re fine with replacing some old furniture anyway.

We found a temporary place to live today, so that’ll buy us some time to get a loan and find a place to own. It’s kinda for the best when you look at it that way.
