Marvel TV Universe [Daredevil, Iron Fist, Etc.]

Figure I'd start a thread for the streaming Marvel shows....

anyways, anyone watch Defenders yet? whatcha think? So far watched around 6...7 episodes...it's pretty good, I still think Daredevil tops all of them though

I cancelled my Netflix last month. We liked Daredevil S1&2, and Iron Fist was alright. Luke Cage lost our interest after one episode, and Jones lost our interest after watching the trailer.

I'll defer to your opinions on if pirating Defenders is worth it. The hive mind cannot fail!

It all depends on you, then. I greatly enjoyed Jessica Jones and Luke Cage myself, and they were still fantastic in this.

I watched the whole season in one shot, and the same as how Iron Fist itself was kind of a let down compared to the rest of the shows, his character in Defenders seemed like the one glaring weak link in the show to me. He wasn't bad, just as he wasn't terrible in his own show, but compared to the rest of the cast you could definitely tell he wasn't up to their level with everything involved. The rest of the cast were about as good as before, so however that makes you feel.

Still, I greatly enjoyed it as a whole. Seeing some more things getting set up for future shows or team-up's was nice, too.

Would having skipped Cage and Jones leave us wondering what's going on? Did we miss anything important?

I don't think there's too much important that you'll miss out on aside from some backstory on how certain characters associated with them were introduced as well. One in particular from Luke Cage's show plays a pretty good-sized part in Defenders, but it's probably not critical to watch Luke Cage to understand what happens during Defenders, as it's heavily focused on Daredevil and Iron Fist backstory content much more than the other two.

Then I guess we picked the right two to watch. I'll pirate it in the next few weeks, we've got too much going on right now to be able to binge watch anything.

    whelp, just finished Defenders...

It was good, like most shows they gotta build up and get better and better then leading to an awesome climactic final episodes and what not...unfortunately though for me, the show builds up and then stops mid point and ends...like it never really got any higher for me.
But I still enjoyed it for the most part...
